Think l'd rather have imagined the beast now... Photo does the fish no credit at all.Not being "piccy" but a cropped version with the big fella all smiles would have been far better JMO anyway.Great fish just the same shame about the setting is all.

You guys are all a bit weird, whats the point of having a fishing forum if you cant post up a pick of a great capture... the scenery is as good as the fish!! And as most of you have said if you didnt recognise the spot, you wouldnt know where it is... Google earth as far as I know only shows shots from above......

Get used to fishing pressure and blowins fishing YOUR area its been slowly creeping east for the last 10 years..... remember walpole being a "secret" spot.... blame the journos (sorry.....) and fishing shows, and poxy bream comps, but all it takes is one good article stating Albany, and you have people from all over driving down every track, launching from every boat ramp trying their luck....

Sorry guys but its inevitable, and getting worse, I remember not so long ago being able to go almost anywhere between walpole and augusta and hardly see a sole, but now you have 4x4 clubs doing tag along tours, internet and alot more 4x4s around.


While Im at it, just where do local boundaries end, if you have fished a spot all your life but live elswhere are you a local?? If the spot is over 100 ks away but still in your shire are you a local?? Id love to know because I fish anywhere from peaceful bay to augusta and have done for over 20 years, but I live in Manji, so am I a local.... If I posted up a pic of a walpole spot, Apart from Halsey who could slam me for it..... now wheres that 48cm bream from river
