Guy's,

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Exy, it was Al's and Greg's first real full on two week fishing trip, and while some aspects of the fishing did not live up to expectations I am sure both guys Had a great time and a good holiday. From a skippers point of view I could not have asked for a better crew both on and off the water and in the first few days when I real struggled with the 40 deg + heat both of them took up the slack from the old fart (I am sure Greg will give you some good stories and pic's).

The big disappointment was the near total lack of Pelagic fish which is what should be at there best that time of year, but again good demersal fishing went some way to make up for it.

Greg with one of the many healthy Nor Westers we caught.

KK

The weather patterns in Oct up there are something to behold as there is two complete different patterns and it can be blowing 30 knotts in one area and be nothing more than a zypher 2 kms away.

And the skipper with a stud Nor Wester.

But you can see a pattern here, lots of Spangled Emporer, Blue lined Emporer, Cod's etc but not too much else. I know Greg has some good pics of a few different fish so I look forward to seeing them.

biggrin.gif Yeah awesome trip thanks to Korg and Al for putting up with me biggrin.gif

I think what happens on the trip stays on the trip unless I am forced to bring out some stories if provoked laugh.gif

I had a great time, if I wasn't catching it I was taking a pic of it, so the camera got a good work out. I will post up a few as I process them but here are a few to start with.

A nice Sharky which was suprisingly good in Korgs secret Beer Batter ph34r.gif

No mate he definately didn't eat it, I had to rescue it out of the berley pot. Only Al and I tried it but to his credit he cooked it for us.... biggrin.gif

I wished I had of kept more of it after tasting it, I only hacked off a bit to try he did say that "some people do eat it". Brought a little bit home but will see if it passes the freezer test.
